Elite



Elite is a space trading video game. It was written and developed by David Braben and Ian Bell and originally published by Acornsoft for the BBC Micro and Acorn Electron computers in September 1984.

This is the PC version. It usess CGA, and 40 column text mode.

Dune II was a game I completed many times on each of the 3 different campaigns. I had thought of doing a play through for this channel as a series, and initial research showed not many playthoughs around. However, one of the playthroughs showed a Sardaukar campaign, which I had never seen. A little duckduckgoing later, I found 2 mods for Dune II, Super Dune II and then build on that Dune II extended. One of the earliest games I remember playing. I was never any good, and by that time I had a VGA monitor, so the CGA graphics were look very dated. The player controls "Freddy the Cat," who enters people's homes through open windows to perform various tasks in order to reach his love, Felicia. [1]  A port for the  IBM PC  as a  self-booting disk  and the  IBM PCjr  were published in 1983 by  IBM . These use four-color  CGA  graphics.
